Isn't this beautiful?
This is Heather and Little Joe - the wife and son of Joe who is my posting partner here at OSM. This picture was taken January 9th. If, like me, you are sitting in zero degree weather and looking out the window at a white landscape, doesn't this warm your heart?

I know it's hard to read ike that, but blogger.com was going goofy and wouldn't let me fix it. It says, "Isn't this beautiful? This is Heather and Litte Joe - the wife and son....etc."
I'm in Miami and it still warms my heart. Great pic!
I took the picture and it still warms my heart...
Scarlets wasn't so bad either also helped...
:-)
I see it's 4 degrees right now here at the Tekamah airport.
I think the picture makes me mad.
From the looks of it, I would like to be there. From the sound of OSM, I didn't know. I found out it wouldn't really be fun:
Office of Surface Mining (OSM), is a bureau of the US Dept. of the Interior with responsibility, in cooperation with the states and Indian affairs. Am I right?
No, how about Oregon Steel Mills, Open Source Matters, Old School Metal, Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement, etc.
We have been having similar scenery like that too, a lot of convertible tops are down. A storm is coming in today to cool things down to the 50s again for one day, even lower at night.
..
BTW, you couldn't tell I am a little jealous, could you? I am here at home doing income taxes for at least a week.
..
That photograph makes me very happy for them and a little sad for the rest of us.
Scarlet, yes the smiles are as pretty as the environment.
Joe; Thanks for letting us put it up here.
Cliff; now calm down, spring's a-comin'!
Jim; All the way down to the fifties? Poor baby. I'll send you some longjohns and a thermos of hot cocoa. It goes good with your chicken-veggie soup!
Well, Nora, if it makes you feel any better, this family now lives in Chicago and the next pics we put up of them will be on a sled!
hmm....thats not funny, not at all;)
its called jelousy, im sorry...its 50 below here.
;)
Sorry, Fip Flop. Maybe you'll appreciate it more when you get back up to zero. Hang in there, Gurl.
