Here's one for Shelby:

She came to see what I had for Ruby Tuesday yesterday, and I let her down. So I'm posting one of my favorites from my personal collection. This is Bubba (on the left) and his mother, Jasmine in '99 or so. Today (Feb 4) is the anniversary of the day I had to have Jasmine euthanized, so I was thinking about her today. Here is a poem by Stanley Garrison that I like:

Somewhere, somewhere, in time's own space,
There must be some sweet pastured place.
Where creeks sing on and soft winds blow,
Some Paradise, where horses go.
For by the love that guides my pen,
I know great horses live again.

PS Make sure you scroll down and see Joe's post for today, too!

February 4 must be an all-around sad day because it is a sad day for me too.
(For more details see my blog.)

Janell, I believe that Jasmine will be in Heaven as soon as Christ returns.

Romans 8:19-21
19 The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.
20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope
21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

Horses and dogs, etc. are all a big part of God's creation, verse 21 is their liberation.
