Welcome to Janell's One Square Mile. Title inspired by the great line from 'The Wizard of Oz': "Next time I decide to go looking for my heart's desire, I won't go any further than my own back yard." However, when Joe posts here, it's more like "One Round Planet." Joe travels all over the world and contibutes pictures and descriptions of the places he's been. Joe and Janell are both Conservatives and occasionally like to start arguments - I mean initiate dialogue - with our Liberal readers.
Bible Verse of the Day
“For the director of music. Of David. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.” (Psalm 14:1) (Read by Max McLean. Provided by The Listener's Audio Bible.)
Hi Janell, you have pulled all the stops! I know because there aren't many where you go! Happy RRtU, I have one too. I also have WW at my Photo Place. .. BTW I don't want a tazzer, I want an Uzi. One that will fire grenades! Next year at Cliff's place for Blogstock '09 I can fire it ALL the way (meaning use my grenades down by the river). ..
Sue; posting pics is easy. I'll email you how I do it.
Cliff; Thanks, Cliff. Jim and Anna get credit for the idea.
Cindy; thanks for the courtesy laugh.
Scarlet; Your hair would be a Ruby Tues post all it's own!
Jim; thanks. I'm visiting you next.
Rachel; Thanks! I was especially happy with the night shot because I'm still using my old Pentax 35 mm K1000. It takes more luck to get shots in the dark with that than with a digital.
I get it. That last one: I tried to draw a picture like that several years ago. I did it on black artist paper. I have no idea what happened to it, but it's one of the leading reasons why I switched to a camera.
