I'm SO proud.

This photo that I took is gracing the COVER of the most recent issue of The Panorama, a nice little shopper that is published in Tekamah.

And this one:

was the cover photo for the March 12 issue.

I love getting published on paper.
And just in case you're wondering, the flag is the one that flies at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha. The title of the picture is "The Star Spangled Banner."

The second photo is "Sunrise Over County Road 15."

And yes, I'm still using 35 mm film. I even bought another second hand Pentax with auto-focus, auto-wind and rewind, zoom and built in flash. I'm accumulating quite a nice collection of cameras.

Happy Wednesday!

Great photos. I saw them both when they came out. I'll bet there was a 'by' line that I didn't notice. Great job J.

Congratulations, Janell!
Those are good, I like the first the better. Guess you gave permission or you could sue for royalties, etc.
For sure they need to give credit, did they?

Thanks, Paul! I haven't given any lessons lately, but I taught a two-day seminar once that I called "Give it Your Best Shot." If I can find the notes, I'll email them to you.

Thanks, Marla and Cliff.

Jim; yes, they gave me credit in a "submitted by" line.

Courtney collects old cameras too... really old ones.

Those photos are FABulous!!
I love sunrise and sunset photos. Pastel skies are so amazing!!

You take great pics, and you are a fine writer too.
Me thinks you ought to have your own, regular article in the local paper where you can wax eloquent and others can glean from your wisdom.

:-)

Both great pictures Janell. Nothing wrong with the trusted 35mm.

Great pics. Did you save all the articles you wrote when you worked at the paper? I think Mom had saved all of them. The ones that stick in my mind are the one about all the animals and the one about "Bob's Christmas Tree."
