f-Stop Fridays
Posting pictures of things that begin with the letter "f."
Feel free to post a link to your own f-Stop Friday picture in the comments.
Keep it clean, please.
Here is my offering for the First f-Stop Friday:
The Fontanelle Town Hall
This is a sweet old building in the little village of Fontanelle. This town hall was used as a polling place and town board meetings up until the 1960's. Now I think it's on the Nat'l Register of Historic Places, but isn't used for anything.
I drive past this village every day on my way to work. I think the population is around 100. There are two businesses in this town that I know of: an ag fertilizer distributer and an apple orchard. Best apples on the continent.
Fontanelle is also the home of Camp Fontanelle. How many of you remember going to Methodist Church Youth Camp there?

I went to the camp one time. I think I was in the 10th grade at the time. I think about that time every time I go by.
Mom used to take Cindy, Tammie and Deb to the bar-b-que in the fall.
I remember going to the BBQ and ice cream socials with Grandma!
thats such a cute lil building there...
How adorable is that?? I LOVE IT! Makes me want to tip toe on the porch and take a peek inside. I just love your town!
I always liked that little (ghost) town of Fontanelle. You must be taking the scenic route to work to go by there. Doesn't the road turn to gravel for the last several miles?
I might switch to f-Stop Fridays. I do SkyWatch Fridays on my other blog but I get way too many comments. Sometimes I don't get them all answered.
We were too poor for me to attend youth camp.
..
Things that start with F,now that seems really difficult. I just need to start taking more photos!
That is a cute little building!!
I loved the video of your friend Mark and his horse!! Wow! Awesome horse and trainer!
Sue & Cindy; I had forgotten about the ice cream socials. I wonder if they still have them?
Momma; thanks. Not very exciting, tho, huh?
Brooke; It is really cute. If you're ever in the neighborhood, I'll look up the lady who has the key and we can go right in.
Jim; Yes; this is off of Highway 91 on a gravel road. I usually don't drive past this building. I stay on the highway and go through Nickerson.
Marla; howa about starting with "Family" and "Friends?" You probably have lots of pix of those already.
Thanks, Rachel. I got to go over to the stable and see Mark & the horse in person one day last week. He really is a handsom boy - the horse, I mean. Well, Mark is nice looking, too. He's a classic cowboy.
That little building is so cute.
I like the town name Fontanelle. It just sounds nice.
